Let’s talk about the three C’s that most people struggle with when it comes to growing their business and showing up online: Confidence, Community, and Consistency.

These are the same hurdles I faced when I started. I didn’t feel confident, I wasn’t sure how to connect with my audience, and consistency? That felt impossible while juggling all the other things life throws at you.

But here’s the truth: You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. These challenges are completely normal—and they’re also completely solvable.

Here’s what I’ve learned about the three C’s from building my business and showing up consistently online.

Confidence: It’s Built, Not Born

When I started sharing my work online, I second-guessed everything. I’d think, “What if no one listens? What if I sound silly? What if this isn’t good enough?”

But I learned that confidence doesn’t show up fully formed—it grows as you take action. The more I showed up, the more I realised that my audience wanted to hear from me. People didn’t care if it was perfect—they just wanted something real and relatable.

How to Build Confidence:

• Start small: Share a story about your journey, a tip that helped you, or something you’re passionate about. The goal isn’t to be perfect—it’s to get comfortable sharing your voice.
• Reframe fear as excitement: Nervous energy and excitement feel the same in the body. Instead of saying, “I’m scared to post,” try thinking, “I’m excited to share this.”
• Celebrate every step: Confidence grows when you acknowledge your wins. Posted something you were nervous about? Celebrate that!

Community: Build It Before You Need It

Community isn’t about numbers—it’s about connection. When I started showing up online, I focused on building relationships, not just an audience. That’s what turned followers into supporters and supporters into clients.

Think of your community as a garden. It needs time, care, and attention to grow, but the harvest is always worth it.

How to Build Your Community:

• Listen more than you speak: Use polls, Q&A sessions, and comments to learn about your audience’s struggles and desires.
• Give value without expecting anything in return: Share tips, advice, or stories that help your audience solve a problem or feel inspired. The more you give, the more trust you build.
• Engage authentically: Reply to comments, DMs, and emails like you’re talking to a friend. People remember how you make them feel, so focus on connection.

Consistency: The Game-Changer

Consistency doesn’t mean showing up every single day—it means showing up regularly in a way that works for you.

When I committed to posting consistently, everything changed. I refined my message, built trust with my audience, and grew into the expert I was meant to be. But I also learned that consistency isn’t just about discipline—it’s about making the process work for your life.

How to Stay Consistent:

• Create a content schedule: Plan your posts or emails in advance, and block out time for content creation in your calendar.
• Batch your work: If you’re short on time, create multiple pieces of content in one sitting. For example, film three reels in an hour or write a week’s worth of posts in one go.
• Repurpose content: Don’t reinvent the wheel. Turn an Instagram caption into a blog post, or repurpose a live video into short clips.
• Make it manageable: Consistency isn’t about burning yourself out. If three posts a week is doable, start there and build up.
