Somatic Therapy

Somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning the living body.

This work is about coming home to that living body.
Not analysing your story from the neck up.
But gently exploring what your body has been holding.

Because sometimes you understand it all…
and you still don’t feel free.

What if the healing isn’t in talking more…
but in listening differently?

What is Somatic Therapy?

Instead of only talking about what happened, we slow down and notice:

What shifts in your breath

What tightens or softens

What sensations arise

What emotions are waiting underneath

Your body stores experience.

Grief. Birth. Breakups. Loss. Stress. Identity shifts.

When we safely connect with those stored patterns, they can begin to move.

This isn’t dramatic.

It’s subtle.

Grounded.

Layer by layer.

Somatic therapy is a body–mind approach to emotional healing.

You might be drawn to this work if…

You’ve done years of talking and still feel stuck

You’re navigating grief or layered loss

You’re moving through identity shifts like maiden to mother

You’ve had a difficult birth or postpartum experience

You’re healing from a breakup or life transition

You feel disconnected from yourself

You want to feel more grounded, present, and embodied

Or simply…

You’re tired of living in your head.

About the sessions

In our sessions, I blend gentle conversation with body-based awareness.
We slow down and notice what is happening beneath the words.
Together we explore sensation, emotion, and nervous system patterns, especially where stress or trauma may be held in the body.

Sessions are 60 minutes and take place online via Zoom.
You can join from the comfort of your home or office.
All you need is a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a willingness to gently connect with yourself.

Every client is different.
Some people feel shifts in a single session. Others choose ongoing support over several months.
There is no fixed timeline. We follow your capacity, your pace, and what feels supportive for your life right now.

Phoebe has a unique ability to help you connect deeply with yourself, allowing the invitation of clarity and calmness within. She opened up the space for acknowledging my emotions in a safe and comfortable environment, revealing how the answers, tools and skills I need most are actually within - I just had to allow myself the time to look for them.

I never knew the importance of someone “holding space” for you until I had a session with Phoebe. Before the session I felt dark and heavy but at the end I felt light and positive. She is a truly beautiful soul and I would recommend her healing to anyone. So grateful to have connected with you, thank you Phoebe!

A session can involve talk therapy, closing your eyes and be guided into the body, holding space for trauma or emotions that may come up, breath-work and guided meditation. Not one session looks the same.

How many sessions will I need?

Every person is different. Some clients feel meaningful shifts in one session. Others choose longer-term support. That said, I usually recommend starting with three sessions. This gives us space to build safety, understand your nervous system patterns, and begin working a little deeper without rushing the process.

From there, we decide together what feels supportive.
