There comes a moment in every healer’s journey when you realise:
Your time, your energy, your care – it’s sacred. But it’s also finite.
When I first started offering 1:1 sessions – whether it was somatic therapy, coaching, or movement – I loved the depth. I loved witnessing those lightbulb moments. I loved being in it with people.
But over time, I noticed a pattern.
I was always on. Always holding space. Always showing up in real time.
And honestly? I was tired.
Even though the work was meaningful, my schedule felt like a game of Tetris. My income was capped by my calendar. I knew I needed to find a way to honour my gifts and create space for myself, my family, and my nervous system.
That’s when I started exploring the idea of creating a course.
The idea wasn’t just to make more money.
It was about sustainability. Legacy. Impact.
I asked myself: What if I could help 10, 20, 100 people at once – without burning out?
I didn’t want to create some surface-level thing. I wanted it to feel deep, nourishing, and real. I wanted my clients to feel held – even through a screen.
So I got to work. I mapped out the transformations I helped people achieve. I recorded guided meditations. I created video lessons that felt like mini ceremonies. I built in embodiment practices, reflections, and support systems.
And you know what?
It worked.
Not just financially (although yes, it brought in consistent income while I was sleeping, travelling, or mum-ing).
But emotionally. Spiritually. Nervously.
I finally felt like my business could breathe with me.
If you’re a wellness practitioner, coach, therapist, or guide – I see you.
You’ve got wisdom that’s been earned through years of practice, intuition, and lived experience.
You don’t need to water it down to make it scalable.
You just need the right container to hold it – and a way to share it that honours both your nervous system and the people you’re here to help.
So I created my first wellness course.
Here’s how I did it – step by step – and how you can too.
Almost every client was coming to me with similar themes: emotional overwhelm, dysregulated nervous systems, burnout, disconnection.
Rather than repeating myself over and over in sessions, I asked:
→ What am I saying again and again that could become a lesson?
→ What practices could support more people if they were recorded?
Tip: Reflect on your last 5–10 client sessions. What came up the most? That’s your course foundation.
Instead of stuffing everything I knew into a course (overwhelm central!), I thought:
→ What’s the journey I want to take them on?
→ How can I build safety, emotional regulation, and real change — in small steps?
I used my favourite tools: somatic work, breath, meditation, journaling, and structure.
Not a to-do list – but a transformation.
Tip: Design your course like a healing arc – beginning, middle, integration. Don’t just teach. Guide.
I didn’t rent a studio. I didn’t buy a fancy mic.
I filmed on my iPhone. I used Canva and Zoom.
I let it be imperfect but intentional.
I reminded myself: It’s not about being polished. It’s about being powerful.
Tip: Don’t wait until it’s perfect. Start with what you have and layer in beauty later.
I asked: What’s an amount that honours the value and feels accessible for the right person?
I didn’t underprice just to get sales. And I didn’t overprice to prove my worth.
I made it a win-win.
Tip: Price based on the transformation, not the time or number of videos. Value isn’t about quantity – it’s about change.
When I spoke about the course, I didn’t push. I shared.
I told stories. I named the pain points. I honoured the version of me who needed this years ago.
That energy brought in aligned students – people who were ready and grateful.
Tip: People don’t buy products. They buy the possibility of who they could become. Speak to that.
Launching that course gave me space – not just in my calendar, but in my body.
I could work less while still earning.
I could support more people without giving more of myself.
And I could finally build a business that supported my nervous system too.
Reminder: You’re allowed to make money and make a difference.
